From Gin no Mikazuki

Required Mods

The following three mods are required to raid with Gin no Mikazuki. No exceptions!

Ventrilo
Ventrilo allows you to hear and speak to other players in the raid. Yes, you must have a working microphone. In Vanilla WoW, a microphone wasn't strictly required. This has changed with the release of the Burning Crusade. Raid encounters require greater coordination than ever, and a single person down can potentially wipe the raid. You must have a microphone and be willing and able to speak on vent in order to raid with us. We don't expect you to be chatty, but we do expect you to call out when you need something. Our server presently requires version 3.0 or higher.

BigWigs Bossmods
This addon assists raiders for boss encounters, providing various warnings for specific encounters. We recommend you keep this up-to-date as encounters are tweaked often. A write-up is available at this web site for those of you who wish to read further.

Omen (threat meter)
This is a meter that displays individual aggro levels targeting a mob in real time. It is extremely useful on boss encounters, but only works correctly if everyone has it. Note: This is the WoWace replacement for KLH Threat Meter; it's smaller, faster and doesn't slow your computer down as much.

Natur's Enemy Cast Bar
Useful in both PvP and PvE. Allows you to see what ability a mob is going to use before it hits you.

Recount
Multi-purpose raid information tool. Contains (among other things) a damage, heal and overheal meter, as well as individual fight statistics. Although we are moving towards using WWS (Wow Web Stats) to analyze fights, Recount provides an immediate breakdown of a fight for you to analyze.
