Enchanting Materials

Unless you have a supply of enchanting dust and shards, enchanting is a very expensive profession. Buying materials or green items is one way to get the necessary materials. A cheaper way is to make things from tailoring, engineering, blacksmithing, or leatherworking and disenchant those items. The cheapest way is to get a high level escort through the Deadmines, Gnomereegan, Scarlet Monestary, or any low-mid level instance. In addition to the low green items, all the cloth and trash items will be yours for the taking. An added bonus, a few blue items may drop which can also be disenchanted. Empty out your inventory as much as possible before going on a run. Another easy way is to pair up with a tailor/blacksmith/leatherworker/engineer and buy cheap crafted items off them. If you do this, please give them a supply of materials to help them skill up, which will also help yourself skill up too.

Please notice almost all the recipes above are vendor or trainer learned with only basic materials. There are a few dropped recipes so good luck finding those on your own. Many other recipes requires more materials but disenchants more dust/essence/shards. Post any requested changes to the forums.
